on the heels of the two the other people place releases in the early 2000 s another related mini album was already in the works. it never saw the light of day due to james stinson s untimely death. finally it resurfaced on a long lost dat tape.

since its 2000 release this influential record, which heralded the return of alternative hip-hop, has never seen a vinyl reissue. with that, get on down-always on top of giving the greatest hip-hop albums their due-is proud to present this re-release of the platform. the rhymes are still fresh, the production is still pristine, and the album is now back on vinyl for the first time in 17 years.

nice price deal !!! with juno records hitting its tenth release we revisit yet another classic from the archives of electronic music royalty. producer, label boss, dj & remixer extraordinaire, charles webster will need no introduction to house music lovers, and its his 1998 collaboration with renowned uk vocalist shara nelson which gets a 2010 touch up. orignally out on the seminal label pagan, >sense of danger< was a real deep house anthem back in 1998, so it was imperative to leave it in good hands for remix duties. the popular peoples front, the disco house supergroup made up of anonymous musical activists are just that. ppf breath new life into >sense of danger<, with nelsons vocal being matched by an effervescent dubby groove. an alternate dangerous dub gives the track a darker but equally melodic feel with an abrasive bassline central to the groove.

following the success of the midnight express single >danger zone<, robbie m and terry patton continued to search for new sounds. over the next few years the duo would produce dozens of instrumental sketches. terry always recorded these backing arrangements to cassette tapes so they could easily listen to them later in the car. cruising the streets of rock island il, vocalist robbie m would write the additional melodies and lyrics.
